Roadmap & maintenance
Current future-facing architecture gaps: what isn't designed yet, the constraint that still holds, and the pipeline improvements worth the most.
Constraint that still holds
Horizontal connector sharding has design notes but production connector count must remain one until an explicit sharding design is implemented.
Open design areas
Scale
Multi-region Socket.IO fan-out is not designed.
Realtime eventsHas design notes; production stays at one connector until the design is implemented.
Connector shardingReliability
Scheduled-message recovery needs a durable sweep/repair story.
Scheduled message recoveryRelease pipeline
Pull-request CI would be the highest-value pipeline improvement.
Deployment workflow · known gapsData-shaped migration checks would reduce production migration risk.
